The Rotary Clubs of Elgin Noon, Elgin Breakfast, Dundee Township and District 6440 are teaming with the Elgin Symphony Orchestra to raise funds to End Polio Now through a program called Gershwin in Blue.

 


Program: The ESO is an award winning, 69-piece professional orchestra. Gershwin in Blue will include the iconic works of pianist and American composer George Gershwin, including Strike Up the Band, Promenade, Girl Crazy Overture, Rhapsody in Blue and selections from Porgy & Bess. Soprano Ollie Watts Davis, pianist Jodie De Salvo and the Elgin Choral Union join conductor Stephen Squires during the two-hour performance.

              April 17, 3:30pm

How much: Tickets prices are $26, $45 and $68 each. A limited number of tickets are available at each price range for each date.

Parking: Free self parking at the nearby parking garage or city lots. Valet parking is $10.

How much will be donated? 25% of all tickets sold after March 8.

Can my club get EPN credit? Yes. Details will be sent to each club president. As an example, if your club’s members collectively buy $500 in tickets, your club will get a $125 EPN credit.
