With the recent devastation in Texas, Louisiana and Florida, many Rotarians and Clubs are looking for ways to help through Rotary. Several good options exist:
- Contribute money to The Rotary Foundation's Hurricane Relief Donor Advised Funds. These funds will be fund local initiative as directed by senior Rotary leaders in the devastated regions. Learn more and donate here.
- Rotary's partner ShelterBox is on the ground in Texas and other areas around the globe dealing with the aftereffects of devastating flooding, wind and earthquake damage. Learn more and support ShelterBox here.
- District 6440 is preparing it's own relief initiatives under the direction of Bill Schuberth. Early stage planning is underway to:
- Form one or more teams to travel to the south and provide hands on support in rebuilding efforts.
- Creating opportunities for clubs to adopt or sponsor an effected family for a period of time.
